Overview:
The Warehouse Assistant/Event Installer is responsible for moving, storing, covering, and preparing equipment for warehouse storage or into bins for delivery. He/She is also responsible for loading and unloading event equipment, and setting up and striking (taking down) the event equipment. He/She takes direction from and reports to the Event Logistics Manager(s), and may receive direction from the Director of Production, the Loading Dock Supervisor, Event Directors, Event Installation Leads and Technical Leads.

Essential Duties
Learns inventory and pull sheets to successfully fill event orders.
Prepares equipment for events to include but not limited to: drilling holes, nailing, hammering, spray painting and cleaning.
Load/unload trucks for delivery/return; unwraps inventory as needed.
Cleans and sweeps vehicles and work space to ensure vehicles and workspaces are clean and organized, safe and free from obstacles and debris.
Loads and unloads event equipment and décor onto vehicles for delivery to clients, venues and to return products to Luxe Productions.
Packs and unpacks speakers, lighting, staging and décor.
Prepares, assembles, installs and uninstalls trussing, audio, staging, lighting and other room décor throughout the event venue. May install products in entryways, on ceilings, floors, walls and columns.
May install and uninstall lighting fixtures to include: pin spots, lekos, par-cans, up lights, and string lighting.
Works carefully to minimize damage and breakage of products.
Sweeps and removes debris from event venues to ensure venue is left clean and without damage.
Assists in other departments as needed and directed.
Complies with all department and company safety guidelines, procedures, and rules.
Completes all safety training as directed and within established timelines.
May perform other duties as required.
Qualifications
Ability to understand, read and speak fluent English.
Ability to lift up to 70lbs
Up to 1 year of event set-up experience preferred.
Good verbal communication skills to communicate successfully with the Logistics team.
Ability to multitask and deal with competing demands.
Ability to take direction.
Customer service orientation; able to maintain a professional demeanor with clients
Good verbal communication skills to communicate successfully with other departments.
Ability to interpret pull sheets.
Familiarity with proper audio visual equipment packing methods is helpful.
Good knowledge and ability to use tools and equipment that may include: hammer, screwdriver, hand drill, tape measure, dollies, 8 foot and 12 foot ladders.
Ability to tolerate long work shifts and work flexible schedules to include evenings and weekends.
Ability to travel locally, and outside the city and state.
Physical and Work Environment Requirements
Ability to stand, kneel, crouch, bend and reach during entire work shift.
Able to walk 50% of the work shift.
Ability to work with hands and arms during entire shift.
Must be able to move and climb ladders without accommodation.
Ability to work in high lift.
Must be able to lift, carry, push and pull 30-50 lbs. repeatedly throughout the shift. Occasionally may move up to and 50 lbs. to over 100 lbs. with assistance.
Ability to handle fragile items safely.
Must have 20/20 vision with correction.
Must be able to tolerate cold, heat and humid conditions.
Ability to tolerate moderate to loud noise.
